HDD Pictures of Baseboard Molding Usage and Installation
Dealing with Baseboard Molding Installation ProblemsOne common problem in the installation of the baseboard for molding is that there will be gaps in both inside and outside corners. This is commonly caused by built-up taping compound used in the installation. One way to deal with this problem is to use braces that are cut in a size of 4 to 6 inches. Hold the trim that is going to be installed in the desired location and see the available gaps. Be sure to use the braces to hold the baseboard molding in lace so that it will be shut tight. Leave it that way overnight so that the board is secured tightly. Release the braces then fill the gaps using appropriate materials and the problem is solved. Another solution to deal with that problem of baseboard molding installation is to make use of caulk to fill in any possible gaps. In looking for the caulk, be sure to look for the premium level acrylic latex caulk for the best result. Be sure to get the one having paintable label on it. In using the caulk, make a hole on the spout in just 1/8 inches size. Force the caulk to fill the gaps through the hole until it is not needed anymore. There you will have the problem of baseboard molding installation dealt appropriately without any gaps left
